Exfoliating Pads Review

Coxrx one step pimple clear pad, First Aid Beauty Facial radiance pads and Dennis Gross alpha beta extra strength daily peel

We have exfoliating toners, serums and creams so why is that we need an exfoliating pad?⠀
Simple, because we are generation swipe. ⠀

A premeasured amount of product for our faces, neck and chest, that even come in handy little single sachets that we can pop open on our travels helping us brighten, smoothen, fade and tackle multiple skin concerns (hyperpigmentation, blemishes, fine lines wrinkles) makes it such a quick and fuss-free method for exfoliation.⠀

Yet even with exfoliating pad themselves, you will see some differences for example ever noticed how some exfoliating acid pads have one side smooth and one side textured? These combine both acid exfoliation and manual exfoliation. The acid, whether an AHA or BHA (salicylic) or a combination of both, breaks down the cellular glue in between cells and loosens the outer layer of skin cells. The textured pad pulls them away from your skin. Chemical and physical exfoliation in a quick swipe. Personally I am not a fan of textured exfoliating pads because I find them “scratchy” even though I find the juice in them sometimes really good but they always leave my skin feeling more irritated than a smoother pad.⠀
⠀
Here are some of the gentler and smoother textured pads I have enjoyed in the past that are easily accessible.⠀

@cosrx ⭐️One Step Pimple Pad 70s⠀
This is definitely a popular one amongst K beauty fans. It is soaked naturally derived Betaine Salicylate to control excess oil production and exfoliation, plus a blend of willow bark, orange peel and tea tree extracts to purify and reduce redness and blemishes. Its one of the more affordable exfoliating pads in the market and these were ones that I recommended to my niece since they are gentler than for example the Dr DG ones. I personally saw lesser “congestion” bumps along my forehead after testing these but I still found that some of the higher strength cosmeceuticals pads I have tried in the past delivered faster results in clearing my skin. Another problem is that the pads dried up very fast (especially if you are opening and closing the lid often). $20 (70 applications).⠀
