Re:Pigment

What is it: A serum that combines modern advances in biotechnology and peptide technology to target hyperpigmentation. TICK!
.
Scent: Unscented
.
Texture: Light, watery texture very easy to layer with other products and absorbs quickly into the skin.
.
Price: $77 (30ml)
.
Suitable for: hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dark spots, PIH.
.
Key ingredients:
🏆 Diglucosyl Gallic Acid – An alpha-glucoside derivative of trihydroxy benzoic acid that’s derived through biotechnology- What I find fascinating about this ingredient is how it feeds our skin microbiome to brighten the skin and works across skin tones.
.
🏆 Acetyl Glycyl Beta Alanine – a peptide solution with a very low molecular weight for maximum efficient penetration into the skin
.
🏆 White Shiitake ferment – targets dark spots
.
🏆 Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (Azeloyl Glycine) – a dicarboxylic acid derivative that is formed through the condensation of Azelaic Acid and Glycine
.
🏆 Encapsulated Oligopeptide-68 – reduces the appearance of UV-induced pigmentation
.
🏆 Solubilized Tetrapeptide-30 – evens out skin tone
.
🏆 Red Evodia Fruit Derivatives – for radiant, even skin tone
.
I started using this serum last year on all my blemishes to help fade PIH and marks something which is a nightmare for me. I have spot marks from January still on my face 🙈. I also used it on my upper lip. The 30ml bottle lasted me a very long time well into the beginning of this year when I started Lytera.
.
Results:
I found the result to be good and incremental (note I was mixing this up within my routine and not using it in isolation- AHAs/BHAs, retinoids). I still had to really take pictures to see the difference because as time goes by you forget what your skin looked like before.
.
My dark spots did lighten faster than usual. My blemish pigmentation marks were disappearing faster alongside PIGM 400 and Vitamin C- all a success for me however you have to remember darker skin pigmentation is a lot stubborn and difficult to remove so for some of you this fading time maybe be sooner or on the flip side longer if you have very resistant skin. I absolutely loved the watery texture and it was a breeze to add into my routine. It was great to be able to use this during the day and not experience any sensitivities.
.
I would have definitely repurchased it to continue to see if it moved the upper lip melasma but throughout my use, it did nothing to my upper lip so I decided to give Lytera a go (this gave me better results for that more to come on this).
.
Would I recommend this? Yes but be warned the results are not super fast like an overnight AHA glow you really have to wait for at least 2weeks and continuing using this serum a while to see significant lightening (as with most pigmentation serums). What I liked about this serum was that it was gentle and effective and there was no peeling flaky skin during the process otherwise I wouldn’t have kept it up as long as I did.
